I asked before if you could please provide us with more information about your Kunena configuration. We will not be able to assist you without it. Please provide your configuration report . Thank you.

after you switch off the "System - Mootools Upgrade plugin" you got this message in the frontend:

# Kunena: You have a plugin that uses Mootools 1.1 or custom version of JHTMLBehavior.
# Many features, including Quick Reply and BBCode editor may be broken.
# Please enable System - Mootools Upgrade plugin.

I have to check this again. I am running websites with Kunena with the System - Mootools Upgrade plugin some with it enabled and others with it disabled. I haven't seen those messages before.

When you wrote that you've "switched it off" did you disable the plugin? Or did you uninstall it?

Whatever the case, it appears that you have something that uses Mootools 1.1 or that customises (read "clobbers") JHTMLBehavior and we need to find out what that "something" is.

Hi,
for now I do the same thing like snilloconator does. I just deactivate (disable) the plugin and run Filemanager of RokDownloads. I am sure, the do use some MooMagic in their extensions :)

About this config-report. I don't want to post it out here... There is a lot of table-stuff all in this report. How can I provide this report to you without post it here for the whole world?

Thanks for your help
JamFX
PS: I also have huge trouble with the sef-routing... and all this Menu-Item does not have a kunena menu entry... and no menu item assigned-stuff But I think I shold open up another thread for this issue, right?

Replied by Gazimaluke on topic Re: Can't upload files
Well I may have been wrong all the time. Suddenly I noticed a member had uploaded pictures in a thread. So I guess the problem is my computer.

Edit: So I tried on another computer and it didn't work. I'v tried Firefox, IE and Chrome.

We know how to fix it; we're having trouble explaining it. The problem is caused by two things:

(1) a Javascript conflict with another Joomla extension

(2) people who doubt that there's a Javascript conflict with another Joomla extension.

A few messages ago I wrote:

There are at least 6 different discussions running in the K 1.6 Support category at the moment that all relate to difficulties users are having because they have a Joomla extension (a template, a module, a plugin, a component, a language or a combination of several of these) that is clobbering the Joomla Mootools 1.2.4 Javascript library. In other words, there is a conflict between some developer's special purpose-built Javascript library and Kunena which relies upon Joomla's standard Javascript library. You may or may not have found a conflict with these things using Firebug but, you'll just have to believe us when we say, there is a Javascript conflict even though you haven't found it yet.

The solution is simple if you actually know where to look but it's unfortunate that sometimes these things take time.

Some background information for you might be helpful:

  • BBCode editor / Quick Reply not working (and other JavaScript issues)
  • Mootools 1.2.4

We may have a chance of helping people find he cause(s) of these Javascript conflicts but only if they supply more. If people continue to write "I'm having this problem" and don't supply their K 1.6 configuration report then all we can do is repeat the same general advice that we've written before.
