Kunena 1.6.x works with only one captcha plugin : joomla15captcha.googlecode.com/files/JC45_Inst_JCaptha451.zip

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Just deleted a new bunch of porn spam from my children's forum :S

If somebody has found a way to implement captcha for Joomla 1.6.1 + Kunena 1.6, I'd be really interested to know it.

I have searched and tried a lot of Captcha's but they all seem to protect Joomla itself and a couple of other 3rd party components.
For the Kunena anonymous posting protection through a captcha code nothing seems to work.
I dont have kids on my forums but had to turn on review moderation for now even though this builds up quite heavily after the bots find you.

We all love Kunena and really appreciate the work being done on it, if there is anything we can do to help speed up the development of a working kunena Captcha for Joomla 1.6 please let me know.

Thanks again!

G'day, Schaijik, and welcome to Kunena.

Have you looked at [Merged topic] The great CAPTCHA problem discussion ?

This topic, where you posted your question, was about how to make CAPTCHA work in J! 1.6.1. J! 1.6.1 is old, outdated and has many defects. Furthermore, at the time when J! 1.6.1 was available, there was no version of Kunena that claimed to be 100% reliable with that version. Please read K 1.6 Technical Requirements .

I do not know if there is a CAPTCHA solution for J! 1.6 but the topic I mentioned above is the one that you should look at.
