Merged [Merged topic] "Remember me" issues

Hello everyone,
I have users complaining that they are being asked to log in every time they leave the site for a number of minutes if now an hr.

I currently have the session lifespan in joomla and kunena set a little bit above their default at 3600seconds.

My question is, should the "remember me" function remember those users who choose to be remembered indefinitely?, or do I have this whole thing misunderstood?

Any ideas, tips you may have are greatly appreciated.

The remember me function isn't working. People get logged out after leaving the site for a few minutes.

the session handlers are set to remember for a weeks time.

Session handler should never be set for that long.

(1) If you have it enabled, disabled System - Cache plugin
(2) Global Configuration » Cache Settings » Cache = No
(3) Global Configuration » Session Settings » Session Lifetime = 30 minutes (this should be quite adequate for most environments)
(4) Global Configuration » Session Settings » Session Handler = Database
(5) Forum Configuration » General » Basic Settings » Session Lifetime = 1800 (= the same as (3) above)

I've been updating my forum (using Joomla 1.5.20), and since Kunena version 1.6 the option "remember" in the login dialog has vanished. Where can I re-activate this?
