Sticky How to protect my forum from spam

ok i will ask on joomla forum for bots....
but...really i need help for PM system, i download uddeIM PM system in .zip format, and i dont know where i upload that....in joomla administrator panel, in site cpanel (where?), or??
really i need help, i was read very for that, but i dont understand nothink

pls give me help how to quick install it....quick tut....

but that work only when i allow Guests to Post/Write
(Forum Configuration » Security » Security Settings » Allow Guests to Post/Write = Yes)

How can i make to work that and only members have acces to post/write ?

Our forum is getting rubbish (ads from Poland/Russia etc) posted, although I have installed OSOLCaptcha for registration, password reminder, username reminder, account creation. I think it's safe to assume that this is coming from bots that can sneak through the captcha security. I think I need to install tighter security. Can somebody please recommend appropriate software, non-commercial or commercial, that would do the job?

Hi All

I've got a K 1.6 installed on my website. I receive a lot of New Topics that is spam and users create bogus usernames to post these Spam Topics.

I need a little help to beef up the security on my forum and prevent Spam Posts and Usernames.
