Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.
The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

As I mentioned a couple of messages ago, I left out a lot of details. Of course, the best idea (if migrating a J! 1.5 website with a Kunena forum) is to make sure that you're running K 2.0.4 on the old J! 1.5 site first and then export the tables from the J! 1.5 site and import them to the new J! 3.2 site. When the new tables have been imported, the table prefixes have to be renamed, too.
These activities involve another half-hour's work. As we can see, there are a lot more than 19 "simple" steps involved. Some of these steps take a few minutes and some of the steps take an hour or more. I don't really remember exactly how long it took me to migrate one of my J! 1.5 sites to J! 3.2 but the whole task of putting the new J! 3.2 site together took me about 10 days.
It's a big job.
We're now wandering off-topic from the original question which is why the avatar image upload is not working on this user's website - and I don't really know the reason for that - and we're now discussing how to migrate from J! 1.5 to J! 3.2 as a way of working around the problem.
It might be better if we close this topic and discuss migration issues elsewhere. What do you think?

You're right, should be a custom topic. Migration it's a big job and has nothing to do with avatars.
