Kunena 7.0.8 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.8 [K 7.0.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This is for users to help other users, to discuss topics that are related to forum administration in general or problems in running Joomla. This is not the place to ask for Joomla support. If you want assistance with Joomla please ask at forum.joomla.org

The permissions on both tmp folders ( at ... public_html/tmp and ... public_html/jupgrade/tmp) is 755.

It is both configuration.php files that have permissions set at 444 instead of the usual 644 setting for files.

It's ok.

Please try following:
1. Download Kunena and unzip the package
2. Upload the folder via ftp in the tmp folder "jupgrade/tmp"
3. Install from Directory

Going back to posts #4 and #5 of this thread, do I need to change the configuration.php file in .../jupgrade?

Moving along to your current instructions, When I unzip the download, there are 5 individual files and a folder named "packages" containing 5 zip files.

The default install directory in the .../jupgrade Extension Manager is: /hermes/bosweb26a/b169/ipw.johnharper/public_html/tmp. (I assume that came from my host).

Note that it points to ...public_html/tmp, NOT public_html/jupgrade/tmp. Should I change it?

Perhaps it is easier for you.

1. Go to your main Joomla directory, and open the configuration.php.
2. Notice the path to the folder "tmp".
3. Go to in the folder jupgrade.
4. Open the configuration.php.
5. Check if it is the same path.
6. If it's the same, then expand this path with "jupgrade"

from
path/path/path/tmp

to
path/path/path/jupgrade/tmp

thats all

If you unzip the package, then you have a folder with content.

After changing the Configuration.php in .../jupgrade, should I try the recommended Install from URL?

Or are we still working on trying to do an "Install from Directory" procedure?
