LaTex implementation for Kunena 1.5.5 ? was created by Assani
Hi everybody!
I'm new to Kunena and Joomla. I've installed the Kunena Forum (1.5.5) in Joomla 1.5.14 and have now a Problem.
I need LaTex in my Forum to show mathematical problems and help students (or some people interested in math) to discuss and solve them.
I had a phpbb 3 forum. in phpbb could i just add my own bbcode and solve that problem with a other server with installed mimetex. But how do i solve that in kunena? Is there a way to add your own bbcode?
Or do i need to hack the Editor-File to add some bbcode and install mimetex to the localhost?
Please help me!

Adding own bbCode is currently manual work: hack lib/kunena.parser.php
Support for custom BBCode will be much better in future versions, and there has been some improvement in K1.6 already.

If you have just converted to Kunena, going back to phpbb3 may be a good idea in your case -- for now. We are currently improving our codebase to make new and easy features possible, but it will take some time to implement all those cool features.

No it will not be. All new bbcode needs to be rewritten for Kunena.
