It is normal for K 1.5.11, yes. :)

K 1.5.9 had problems with email (just look at the number of support queries we received). Most of these problems were fixed with K 1.5.11.

NO, is not a problem. Kunena now works that way. ;)

headbanker: your situation is different, but it sounds almost identical to Different categories, different category moderators: all moderators receive mail .

I don't have an answer on that question.

See what happens when someone comes in with the idea that they have the same problem? . Before you know it, we don't know what we are talking about. :S

This discussion topic is about the question asked:

Kunena Configuration:
Send mails to Moderators: Yes
Send mails to Administrator: No

Moderators: They receive all messages posted, whether or not a category moderators
Admin: Receive all messages posted.

I thought we answered the basic question which was why administrators receive email even though a contrary Kunena configuration setting suggests otherwise.

There is a completely different question - Different categories, different category moderators: all moderators receive mail . This other question asks "Why do moderators of different categories receive all moderator mail?" If you think they're these two topics are the same, I'm quite happy to merge them together to save time. But ... I think it will only confuse the situation further.

It's your decision. Do you want me to merge these two topics, or not?

This thread do consist two different bugs. The first one was that in old sites admin IS moderator but if you install Kunena from scratch admin IS NOT moderator, but has all the permissions of moderator.

I have fixed this in latest K1.5.12 build with one additional change: you can choose if admin is also a moderator (and in which categories) or not.

I also looked at the second issue and found the bug: all moderators were dealt as global. That has been fixed, too. If you want to have our developer build for K1.5.12, just ask it and someone will PM the links to you. :)
