It may be a bug in PHP 5.2.2 -- or not. The code is legal PHP5..

I'm back again and have to let you know that the first website with Kunena forum started to work again after reuploading the entire site to the server and also reload the database. So that site works great now...

But.. I also made another website and launcehd it on thursday with the same error.. Kunena didn't work.. Same error message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLASS in /hsphere/local/home/duosmart/gagneffiske.se/components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.config.class.php on line 65

I have tried to reupload the entire site but the problem remains...
The difference this time is that I can't reach the administ´rator sire either. When trying to login to administrator as admin and the correct password it just returns back to the login page....

Anyone?

not sure about the parse error but try logging in with same username of the site you copied if that doesn't work try logging in with admin as the username if that still doesn't work create a new account in the frontend of your site the use phpMyAdmin or other database tool and find user you just created in the #___user table and copy the encoded password then find admin user number 62 and paste the encoded password as the admin password note the username of id 62 and then try logging into admin panel with id 62's username and the password you set for the new frontend user (not the encoded one :P cause it won't work :P ) and it should let you in admin panel ;)

well I have tried to login using both admin and a new user created. None works :(

I just tried to create a new user and then I copied the encoded password string and pasted it into teh user 62 (admin) password field and saved it. Still no success when trying to login.
I also checked out the jos_session table and erased all data there then tried to login and immediately two entries where logged in the table. I'm not even close an expert but the username field was empty and the guest column had a 1 and userid a 0... does that mean that it was an attempt by a guest to login?
Still no message of wrong user or password though...

That's a standard guest session, not necessarily an attempt to login, as far as I know.

I have no idea why editing the #___users table wouldn't work though o.O

I use JoomlaPack to duplicate my sites, if you are using the same base over several sites you might give it a try for future duplications. That's about all I can suggest, I'm no expert either :P was just sharing the ways I had gotten into the admin panel in the past. You might have some more corrupted files causing problems o.O

I'm not quite sure that I understood what you meant with creating a user on the frontend... as I can't reach the admin pages I can't reproduce any users either so that's a bit of a problem... ;)

Ok so you think that I should use Joomlapack... well I tried before and it was no success as I am on a webserver that has safe mode on and no way turning it off. I don't think you can use Joomla pack if that is on.
I have another published website just made in Joomla that I published last week. First I had the same problems except that I could reach the administrator backend but not the Kunena forum. On that site I just reloaded the entire site and then Kunena was also ready to go.
Feels like I have to go the long way and reupload the first site and then replace the table entries with content and upload template etc and that way step by step do a rebuild of the site...
But big thanks for your efforts and suggestions for a solution... I will let you know how it turns out. :S ;)
