Hi again,

well, this is a Special Rank Management. Non based on number of post.

Now I have one idea. If you go to Rank Management and create more Special Rank, you have all this Rank in User Administration Rank Title list. Then you can assign this rank to user and don't need to change anything in database. I think that must work.

Try to do this and let me know. I have not time now for trying.

Code:
be sure then this user have not assigned rank. Go to User Administration, open the configuration for this user and for option "Rank Title" select "No Rank Assigned".

When I did that again the rank got reset to Fresh Boarder with 41 post
So I think I should not do that step you said.
Please conform...

And the one you said is fine, it will work. Thanks for the idea

but I need to know on what basis is the Rank given if it is not post based?

Hi,

Special
this is a rank assigned from administrator to user and is fixed, don't change if user increase the number of post.
Non Special
this is a rank system which is based on number of post.

Your question:How to allocate extra posts and ranks to a user

you can't from admin panel, only way is to change into database. If you do this the rank must be "Not Assigned" in User Administration if you want that the rank of user is changed with number of post.

then you tell me this

found it
there is a colum called RANK
1-8
I can change it and it gets changed
Hurray!!!
Now there is no need to change the post
I can make him a high rank with out any changes
Thanks any way for your 1st reply
I got it
HURRAY!!!

That you can do with Special Rank system, but like I said is fixed, not updated with number of post, and you don't need to change anything in database. You can do this from User Administration if you create a Special rank.

Hope this is a clear now.

Regards

Sir, I have mentioned already that after I changed in database it was fine. But when I again set to Not Assigned it was reset

So my doubt is, if I change it in database and dont do anything in Not Assigned and nothing is selected, not Not Assigned not special roles...what is going to happeen?

Will he have special powers?

What is the issue?

Please clear off sir...
