A couple of times I've tried to use this forum, each time there is an issue with it so I use some other forum. But it's time to tackle this issue head on.

I customized a MeMovie template from Gavick, all was going well util I looked at the bottom of the forum to see modules jumbled up. This is the 3rd time it's happened and it dawned on me that it was also with a Gavick tempate.

So has anyone found this open <tag> because thats what it looks like to me.. here is a link to the page. UmaBalla Error

Ok nevermind, Gavick didn't leave a tag open but it was in a if statement, so if the module is deactivated it leave a tag open for the forums template.. either way solved.

For the information of any others reading this post this is an error caused by a none standard template and this is why the devs and moderators here, have this offical line on the subject.
_____________________________________________________________________________________

There is only one template that is currently supported by the developers: the default_ex template. This may not seem like important news to the veteran users of www.kunena.com but I think this is important enough to make the point in a separate discussion topic. In fact, I think this is important enough to make into a sticky topic because of the number of problems that arise from new users' ignorance of the major trap that they continue to fall into.

The other templates (default, default_gray, default_green and default_red) were developed for older versions of Kunena and Fireboard. They are defective and have not kept pace with the rapid development of Kunena. It's not sufficient to say "you are strongly advised against using any of these old templates" ... do not use the other templates at all!

You will find a number of user contributions in the Templates and Design category. Some of these are really great, too! Some of them may work for you and some of them may not. There are no guarantees. You might even like to develop your own template. Please do and let's see your work! Please remember, though, before posting questions to the forum: if you have a problem with Kunena, make sure you have confirmed that the problem exists with a template that has been endorsed for K 1.5.11.

In future releases of Kunena there will be a major overhaul of the entire templating system and, in the next release, the defective default_gray, default_green and default_red templates will not be included with the installation kit.

How ever the user here posted this question in the correct area of kunena.com and if he had post alot more information on his problem it may have been solved alot quicker by one of the helpers here ( yes im one of them i make templates for Kunena ), the information i personaly would have needed to help him would be.

Joomla version = ( must be J1.5.17 )
Joomla template =

Kunena version = ( must be K1.5.11 )
Kunena template =
were i can download the template so i can test it = ( if it is a paid for template or register to download i will need the template uploading to somewre i can download it without giving an details for my own security )

what other custom joomla modules you are using = ( example being Rokcandy )
does your problem happen if you use the default templates ( default_ex and rhuk_milkway) = ( if yes give details)

lastly for me an image says a 1000 words so post a image of your site highlighting the error ( a red box around the error is best ) then i can see exactly were on your site the issue is happening. ( please post a full image of you site and not just a cropped one as these cropped image are not helpful as they dont tell the whole story )

once i have all of this information i can start trying to help solve template issues.

Regards Cerberus ( im am only a user here )
