Question no barcode, no smiles

I have kunena 1.5.4 running on joomla 1.5.11 and everything seams to be ok, but neither smilies nnor boardcode buttons are working. check circles under topic icons are missing.

Do you have installed another language than english in Kunena?

yes, russian. and it was done in a rather barbaric way (just replaced the lang files). but still i had the module deleted and installed again in english. no change.

Check that you have the smilies in components\com_kunena\template\default_ex\images\english\emoticons.

which module did you delete? There is no existing module in Kunena itself. Kunena is a component.

Ok, to install another language only add the language file into the folder with the english language file.

the folder = administrator/components/com_kunena/language
here you should have kunena.english.php and kunena.russian.php (or how your language file is named, I don't know exactly).

Additional to the language file you must install a folder russian into
components/com_kunena/template/default_ex/images

You should have in folder images two subfolders: english and russian.

Of course the folder russian should contain same folderstructure and content like the folder english (emoticons, graph, icons, ranks PLUS the images themselves).

If you don't have russian buttons, you can help yourself so: Copy the folder english and name it russian.

ok. first thing is to a clean uninstall. because just deleting and installing the component do not fix anything. how do I do that?

a little offtop, but i still have a problem of missing checkboxes and their circle equivalents and it's a global problem. does anyone know what night have caused that?
