Question Installation Problem

Ok i have managed to install kunena 1.5.4

first i have copied a old install 1.5.3 to the components folders...
then i have install the old databases ... from 1.5.3 import with phpMyAdmin...

after this i have only "normal" install kunena 1.5.4 ... it seems this package has upgraded the old version to kunena 1.5.4....

a fresh install of kunena dont work ... i dont know why...

I'm pleased you worked through your problem, topmaniac. I haven't experimented with installing Kunena from nothing. Like you, I've upgraded from a previous version. Worked like a charm!

It would be good to know if other people are unable to perform a brand-new K 1.5.4 installation.

Timeout comes because of server is too slow to copy all the files in time (Joomla installer is a bit slow).

There exists a workaround (found it yesterday). General idea is to split installation into two zip files. Joomla installer doesn't delete old files -- it just overwrites them from the new package.
