Question Installation Problem

Hello everybody!

I have a problem
i cant install kunena 5.4 ...
i have execution time of 30sec.... in phpini...
joomla = noftp...
uplaoded to the temp folder and manual install ... but same...
connection refused... "white page"...

A white page mean that you have a php error, enable the debug mode in the joomla configuration panel.

Your joomla /administrator/components and /components directories may not be writable

yes it is writeable!!!

time = 120 seconds

Your php.ini
maximum upload
timeout may be less than 30 seconds, too short a time for the upload to complete
Your tmp directory setting in Joomla's Configuration.php may be invalid, or the directory may not be writable

maximum upload 150MB
larger than 30seconds
tmp directory aviable and writeable

joomla complete fresh install 1.5.12
everything is writeable ...
php.ini works fine...

install package uplaoded to the tmp folder ... extracted... install from a folder...
and normal install ....
both same the same ... no install ...


not really a white page ... everything workxx after 10minutes load ... the page change ... (connection refused) internet explorer 8 message

G'day, topmaniac, I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your K 1.5.4 installation. This is a long-shot suggestion (it may not work) and it's not covered in the "installation issues" article that xillibit mentions, but you might like to read docs.joomla.org/What_are_the_recommended...ctory_permissions%3F .

If I were in your place I would apply the directory and file permissions, as recommended, across your entire Joomla website and then try the installation procedure again. Good luck. Please keep us informed.

I'm sorry ... there was an extra period added to the end of the url which should have been docs.joomla.org/What_are_the_recommended...ctory_permissions%3F .
