Question K 1.5.3 works!

It's taken over three weeks, sifting through the barrage of reported "errors" and "problems", waiting for the dust to settle, compiling a "to do" list of all the things I had to attend to and now ... the moment has arrived!

Today I installed K 1.5.3 without any mishaps (took me all of 2 minutes). It was better than painless ... it was magical! I didn't even have to uninstall the old version; the new version installed straight over the top of my K 1.0.10 ... and it was be-YOO-ti-ful! :kiss:

Thanks, especially to Matias, to the moderators here at www.kunena.com , to those who contributed to K 1.5.3 - the really *important* fixes - that's what saved me most of the hard work - and for everyone's hard work!
Late news: I've disabled the "legacy" plugin. K 1.5.3 in J! 1.5 native mode ... at last! :woohoo:

So far, so good. I've upgraded to K 1.5.4 (on a test system) and everything's looking pretty good at the moment. Thanks everyone!

K1.5.4 is just bug/security fix release and many of the fixes have already been introduced in this forum. I would have liked to get more fixes into it, but I felt that we had to release it ASAP and without those new fixes.
