xxmajexx wrote, without actually reading the contents of the earlier messages in this discussion, "I have the same problem." I suggest that xxmajexxx reads
I have the same problem ...
.
It was, perhaps, an unfortunate subject title chosen by the original writer. This topic was about not being able to press the
site preview button in th Joomla administration site.
xxmajexx's problem is a common one that users experience but it concerns something entirely different: the
message preview button doesn't work in his
Kunena website. As often happens, the original discussion topic was hijacked before the it was solved by someone else with a totally different problem.
So, as a forum moderator, I have a difficult choice to make. I want help xxmajexx with his problem but I don't want to confuse other users looking at this discussion in the future by using one discussion topic to address two entirely different subjects. The only
common thing connecting these two subjects is the word "preview".
For me, the important thing is that the original matter has been resolved and that a greater good is done by closing this topic.
In the case of xxmajexx there are two things that he can do: (1) Search for the answer - the problem is most likely caused by
conflict with another component
; or (2) create a new topic if he has not found the answer elsewhere. The
message preview function is created by a Javascript routine. In the dozen or more cases that I've read in these forums, the problem was a conflicting Javascript routine used by another Joomla extension.
