Thanks rich, that's fixed it. Even though the error was occurring when using a CB menu item, it had to be caused by a change to Kunena.

I have to say though that while that was the worst of the unpleasant surprises when moving from K6.3 to K6.4, it was by no means the only one. A whole lot of Kunena settings weren't carried over and reverted to default, eg having User Name displayed instead of real name, and not hiding email addresses. If that was unavoidable, you should warn people so they know they have to review the settings after moving to K6.4. If it could have been avoided, I think you need to issue a new version that carries over settings properly.

The user-defined settings should be applied correctly. I have tested it several times and the settings are retained. I don't know how many users have already upgraded to K6.4.2, but if this error were the rule, I'm sure many users would have already complained here.

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!

That's curious. At least one other user has complained about what appears to be exactly the same issue - see www.kunena.org/forum/k-6-4-0-support/168...-kunena-6-4-2#233288 . But, as you say, if everyone had encountered this problem, you would have received more complaints.

With me it happened on two development sites and then on the live website, exactly the same in each case. Probably half of my custom settings weren't carried over, including forum title, forum email address and user name vs real name.

I also get Error: "Call to undefined method Kunena\Forum\Libraries\User\KunenaUser::get()".

This happen when using Kunena Discuss and when trying to access an article where a comment (post in the forum) that has been deleted, but not being deleted permanently.

This happen on the site 7-harad.nu, running Joomla 5.3.1 using Kunena 6.4.3 and the default template Aurelia.

Better to create your own question as I suppose your error message is different from the one in the subject in this topic. I think your error message is:

Call to undefined method Kunena\Forum\Libraries\Forum\Topic\KunenaTopic::getError()

This error occurs (I suppose) only when site is accessed by a registered user as they aren't allowed to see not permanently deleted topics. Quick fix is to either delete topic permanently or delete only message within topic. Or install new version that I attached here to prevent error message and just show article.
