Kunena 6.2.6 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

This is not a support forum for JomSocial or its related products. For JomSocial support you should visit JomSocial .

The information given in this category is intended to guide users who want to use JomSocial with Kunena and, mostly, was written by Kunena users. The information here is not necessarily accurate, up-to-date nor is it intended to replace the support given by the developers of JomSocial.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Solved K 3.0.0: JomSocial integration: avatar issue

Hi,

We have recently upgraded to 3.0 and have found an issue with the integration.
When we used to click on a users avatar in the forum it would take us to that users profile information in jomsocial.

Now when we click on the avatar it does take us to the jomsocial profile page but displays thue logged in users profile information and not that of the avatar we clicked on.

Is there a setting somewhere that enables this.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks
Richard

Yes, thank you. That helps a lot. ;)

K 3.0.0 is unsupported (and so are the out-of-date Kunena add-ons that you are using). I believe these problems were fixed in the latest releases of Kunena and the add-ons used by you.

You also might like to look at the sticky topic in this category for extra information that might help you with JomSocial-related matters.

BTW - your version of Joomla is also very out-of-date, too. It would be worth your while attending to updating your site components. B)

Hi Sozzled,

We thought Kunena 3.0.0 was the latest version.
The add-ons where installed at the same time as we installed Kunena 3.0.0

What versions should we be using ?

Thanks

Hi,

Do you know which file we would find the following line of code in:

<a class="kwho-user" href="/my-profile.html" title="View potsie's Profile" rel="nofollow"><img class="klist-avatar" src=" powderclouduk.online-communities.info/co...ssets/user_thumb.png " alt="xxxxx's Avatar" style="max-width: 36px; max-height: 36px">

We are hoping to hack the href and change it to go to the Jomsocial profile page passing the avatar's user-id and name so it will end up like this

href=" powderclouduk.online-communities.info/my...ofile/339-xxxxx.html

Thanks for all your help so far

Cheers
Richard

It all depends on what version of Kunena, the Kunena add-ons you may be using, the version of Joomla you are using, the version of JomSocial you are using, and whether you are still using the outdated and unsupported add-ons JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Menu 2.0.4 and JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Posts 2.0.4 that were referenced in the configuration report that you gave us in msg #3 above.

As far as I know, these problems do not exist in the latest versions of JomSocial or Kunena or the add-ons that are now supported by JomSocial.

Perhaps another member of the community can verify if the information I have given you can be corroborated? Did you read the sticky topic in this category?
