Emoticons & Boardcode Don't Funtion was created by upcydedown
I've searched this forum but could not find an answer to my problem. I did see a post similar to this topic, but it was in a different language.
The emoticons and bbcode on my forum do not seem to function. When I click on the emoticon icons or bbcode, nothing displays in the input form.
I'm using Joomla 1.5.9
A clean install of Kunena 1.0.8
Rocket Theme Template
JomSocial Component
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love Kunena BTW. Thanks for a great forum.

Check if any other javascript works in your site, like quick reply.
You seem to have js conflict between Kunena and the theme or JomSocial. Try to turn them of and see if you get your js working again.

Tell me if changing theme (temporally) or disabling modules or plugins help.
If you have some skills with FireBug, it's a great debugging tool. You may want to give it a try, too.

I have the same problem using exactly the same settings with upcydedown:
Joomla 1.5.9
Clean install of Kunena 1.0.8
Rocket Theme Akirara Template (same with pcpclan.net)
But NO JomSocial Component installed
Emoticons & Boardcode do not work. Quick reply works fine.
I tried to change the template and disable ALL other modules but I had the same problem as well.:S

I changed out the theme on Joomla, JomSocial and Kunena. I also disabled all the modules and components to see if it worked. I have not tried disabling the plugins yet.
I'll keep you posted if I find out what the conflict is. I'm also a noob, so I have not tried using Firebug yet. Once again thanks for the support, I'll keep tinkering around with my site
