Question 1.0.8 + Joomla 1.5.x SEF

My typical Joomla setup is
Search Engine Friendly URLs = Yes
Use Apache mod_rewrite = Yes
Add suffix to URLs = No

Is such a setup ok to use with Kunena 1.0.8?
What are the drawbacks of SEF URLs = Yes, with regards to Kunena?

I've read in other threads that SEF URLs should be turned Off with Kunena, which has raised doubts about my setup. I hope SEF URLs = Yes is ok, as they are used for SEO on my sites.

Thanks in advance.

Using J1.5 SEF has almost no effect in Kunena. The only change I've noticed is that limitstart becomes limit.

Hi,
I am running
Joomla 1.5.10
Jomsocial 1.1.145
KUNENA 1.0.9

I just managed to get running the native JOOMLA SEO, i.e., I successfully set up the right .htaccess file and I could manage to make Jomsocial workable together with the native SEF plus apache mod_rewrite of Joomla.

Unfortunately, when I click on a thread in the KUNENA forum, I get an error 404 message.

How do you made KUNENA running with the native Joomla SEO?
I am planning to use SH404SEF later on anyway, but first wanted to get the basic SEO feature of JOOMLA workable.

Thx for your hints :)

Joomla SEF should work with Kunena (they are the same as without SEF).

Did you upgrade Kunena? If so, edit menu item and hit save.

If that does not work, could you give example URL for us? There may be something that gets broken because of .htaccess.
