Image upload issue was created by daveshel
I seem to be having a problem uploading images. I've tried uploading pictures within a thread as well as uploading a new avatar and nothing happens. I don't get an error.

Hello,

Check in the first time that you have the right permissions for the upload directories (joomla\images\fbfiles\images and joomla\images\fbfiles\files).

Then, enable the debug on the joomla configuration panel.

What kunena version do you use ? What PHP version do you use ?

I had to use 1.0.11 because my hosting company is using an older PHP - 4.9 something I think. (What's even worse, I'm on Win2K3/IIS6.) I figured it was a permissions issue - I kept having them when I was installing.

Thanks, got it working.

(Sorry I posted the wrong version area, which I noticed after I was that you moved me to support.)

Hello,

The best way is to use a host with linux, because with win2k3 and II6, most of all you can't have php module like ofr sef.
So, if you host doesn't let you choose Php 5.0 and MySQL, it's a bad, you may reconsider it and choose an another host.

Normally, with debug mode on on it will display a better error message.

Thanks. My hosting company tells me they will begin offering linux-based hosting soon. It would probably be easier to wait than switch. So far I've figured out everything I've wanted to do, but it has been a hassle toggling the permissions over and over.
