Fatal error. Urgent help needed was created by n97geeks
Hey guys,
Suddenly some of my threads stopped working. www.n97geeks.com/General-N97/1249-Firmware-in-the-US.html
It throws an error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 50331648 bytes) in /home/n97geeks/public_html/components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.parser.bbcode.php on line 212
The forum is quite new, it's not been live for long.
We raised the limit from 128mb to 512mb and still get the error Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted
Our host said they don't advise we try to raise it, as no script should be trying to take that much memory for loading a forum post and suggested it was a bug.
Any idea how I fix this?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Hello,
I think that you can try, to backup your database and kunena files (only if you have added a new template) and do a clean install of Kunena 1.5.4.

Thanks, I'll try that. Fingers crossed it fixes the issue.
On a side note. It's worried me a little as to how resource intensive Kunena is compared to other forum solutions.

This was a bug in our bbCode class. Kunena should work nicely with 64MB of memory and if you don't have many Joomla modules, even in 32MB.
Kunena 1.6 will have optimizations which speed up some operations in huge forums by factor of 10-1000.
