Question problem with fireboard and adsense

I have installed FB 1.0.4 and I am having problems with inserting adsense in posts or anywhere on the site, I have created positions fb_msg_1 / fb_msg_2 etc but nothing shows.

Then I have tried the hack posted at

but it is not working either in that the page just loses all the graphics part

however I noticed that the code in my default template looks slightly different than what is posted on that hack, it is the lines in bold below. Anybody has nay suggestions please?

Why did you install such an old version? The first thing people are going to tell you is to upgrade.

Well, it came packaged with the Rockettheme template I used...

So there is no solution other than upgrading?

Btw, I downloaded 1.0.5RC2 and the result is the same, except when I add the raw google adsense code the forum doesn't have a fit, yet the ad is not showing....

What I meant was you might want to upgrade to Kunena. There is no more Fireboard and I wasn't aware RT was still making FireBoard templates. So you're working with obsolete extensions and templates. More than likely that FB template will not work with Kunena anyway.

Also what is the method you are trying to add Adsense? The preferred and easiest is to install an Adsense module and publish it to a module position.

I am indeed trying to publish adsense to a module position, however it is being ignored ..., that is why I tried adding the raw code , but without result, I will backup and try to add Kunena and see what happens, unless there is a way to add adsense to this FB install, I really like the looks of it btw...
