Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

im still getting this on all my site:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_strpos() in /home/dance/public_html/libraries/phputf8/mbstring/core.php on line 30

and no one has brought up a solution in this even the first closed thread.
they say its a joomla problem. but the error only exists on kunena specifically 1.0.9.
i already upgaded to 1.0.10 build 1319 but the problem is still there.

can someone share a hack in joomla to fix this?

Looks like the work around did not provide a solve for this one. I have reopened the original thread:
