Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

I've had similar issues with upgrading from older versions of FB...

It looks like gt lt, quot, amp are stored in the database (at least in the old FB versions) instead of >, <, " and &. Is that the case with your message database as well?

Now, there are SQL queries in the FB/Kunena upgrade script that were supposed to correct these, but for some reason they didn't do anything for me.

Which Kunena version have you installed? Please use the newest stable one 1.0.9, many bugs were fixed.

yes i remembered this issue with the old fb on my old site but now on my new site i did a clean install of kunena 1.0.8 and then upgradedto 1.0.9, the problem is still present.

even here in kunena.com, you can clearly see that < and > are not correctly displayed

that is very strange, on my 1.0.9 installation, it works fine, with the code, i used yours one for test .

Could it be, that your browser causes this wrong coding? (try encoding set to utf8)
