My understanding is that the autoresize feature resizes images according to the width of the post area of your forum so as not to break the layout.

Images are resized to 90% of text area width if they are wider than 90% of the text area.
Text area width is 450px by default. This causes all images wider than 405px to be resized to 405px.

This behavior is quite weird ... Images should not be resized by force unless they are wider than the text area.

Solution 1: Only resize the image if it exceeds the text area.
Solution 2: Add new config settings for maximum image dimensions.

When the browser resizes an image the image quality is reduced quite a lot, so it's important not to auto-rescale images without a good reason.

One question...

The autoresize only works with uploading images? because in my forum, the images in external hosted (for example imageshack) don´t resize and broken the post.

Thanks.
