Just upgraded to 1.08 and it works great! The only problem I've run into is now my template that worked with 1.07 is invalid with this error...
Code:
pat-Error Could not load templates from header.html.

The forum template I was using is

Ah ok, thanks. Missed that thread, well consider my thread a moot point then.

Your template directory structure is incorrect. You have a folder uploaded into another folder.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

Thanks for the response grumble, that was a big DUH! on my part. Unfortunately, I suffer from the same problems as the other poster. I've sent in a question to joomlart.com in hopes for a response on if there will be an update, so I'll keep you all posted.

Found the solution!

It was quite a simple fix.

Copy the templates from components>come_fireboard>templates into components>com_kunena>templates

rename forum.css to kunena.forum.css

@Timi:

NO, DON'T DO THAT FOR DEFAULT TEMPLATES! (sorry for yelling at you)

You just disabled almost all the (security) fixes made for Kunena. Most of the FB/Kunena code is in templates and by copying those files you got your old FireBoard back.

It works, but its effect is the same as uninstalling Kunena and installing FB..

DOH! Thanks for the heads up!

Just so I'm clear, the template wasn't a "default" template, but a template designed for fireboard none the less. So basically any old template designed for fireboard and used in Kunena would render Kunena 1.08 a security risk?

Yes, if there are any php files other than icons.php

That's why I'm trying to make some instructions on how to update templates to Kunena 1.0.8:
docs.kunena.com/index.php/Templates_FAQ

It doesn't contain all the information yet, but I'm working on it..
