Got to be the first poster in this forum :woohoo:

Since I need to wait for a lot of modules being developed before making the switch to Kunena I thought I could put up a cry for help here.
I have a fairly busy site running FB with 6000 users and 190,000 posts. As the code is sending out a lot of queries this have forced us to ugrade the server to ridicoulos levels just to keep up. Even so the site can be very slow at busy times.
We have done some tweaks (like turning statistics off etc).
I know some tweaks are to be found at BOJ but many of the threads died for obvious reasons (posting closed).

Any hacks, tweaks or general suggestion to optimize FB 1.05 RC2 for performance would be VERY appreciated!

I have even larger forum (230 000 messages, 8000 users from which 3300 use the board every day + about 4000-6000 anonymous users) and I have optimized FB running in it. I've had no time to merge the changes into Kunena SVN, but I'm going to do that within a week after we have 1.0.8 out in the wild.

I really need the fixes we have done in Kunena and my site will be too slow if I update, so it won't take a long time before we have our first 1.1 build with all optimizations in it.

In the mean time I can help you in two ways:

1) After Kunena 1.0.8 has been published (in a few days), just install it. It will help you a bit, as it has some optimizations from my own version.

If you want 1.0.8 pre-release before that, volunteer to test it.

2) Contact me. I know how to make your forum much faster.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will need to wait for some crucial integrations first though (groupjive, comments, CB), but they all seems close.
I have PM:ed you in the community component on this site.
