Question migrate from old FB1.05 in J1.0 to the now Kunena 1.08 in J1.5?

FYI: The gifs in the package are indeed not corrupted. The J 1.0.x installer corrupts them during uncompress. If you open that package locally, the files will be fine and can be copied by hand. Anoying but we have not found a work around so far. Does not happen on J1.5.x

Well, not entirely perfect. I was able to create a new post, although the display updated a little strangely, but that's fixable in css.

Then I tried creating a new forum category, and it deleted one of the old categories, assigning the new category an ID of zero. Subsequently any attempt to access a forum in the backend produced an error. Is this a known problem, and is there a hotfix?

I found the reaosn, and mentioned it elsewhere, but fopr helpfulness: one can't use create tagble reliably in phopmyadmin, it doesn't copy the auto increment values. One has to dump the tables selectively, change the prefix with a search/replace, and reimport them.
