Hi there,

I've just installed Kunena and I can't seem to find any way of removing the default topic post that starts 'Welcome to Kunena'? It says that this was posted by 'kunena', which I presume must be installed as a user, but it's not listed as a user? Am I missing something obvious here? I wouldn't exactly say I was a novice and I've been trying to resolve this for hours.

Can someone please help?

Many thanks

Hi,

Any moderator or admin on the system can delete that message. Either login in with a userid that is an admin or make a user id of your choice a moderator in Kunena (see backend user management).

Simply delete the message.

Hope this helps!

Thanks fxstein,

Problem solved. I was loggerd in to the forum as a user, but logged in to the joomla backend as admin at the same time. I didn't think it would make a difference as I thought I would have control over the forum. Obviously not, so you have to log in to the forum as admin also. Makes sense I guess.

Thanks for your help.
