First thank you for Kunena, what a great product.

I am trying to recount, but gets the following error message:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /public_html/components/com_kunena/class.kunena.php on line 430

FYI:
Joomla! 1.0.15

Any suggestions?

I suspect the answer is related to PHP execution timeout.

The discussion on this subject is contained here us2.php.net/function.set-time-limit . You will see that the default value (which I think controlled by your webhosting service) is 30 seconds.

If you're knowledgeable about writing PHP and how to modify the script that performs the "recount" function, you might have to go into the code. Alternatively, you might need to discuss the matter with your webhosting service.

You are trying to recount stats from the backend? It may take a long time to do that.

But yes, there is something we can do to make it work better in the future.

Yes in the backend, can you do it in the frontend?
