It's in there. You can get this error message for example if the download fails (check max file limit from your php config), you have wrong file/dir permissions etc..

Can you install other components?

yes, I installed fb 1.0.4 before.

Just found out this (joomla turns off error reporting by default, had to override that):

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /www/webvol8/4g/ii6penzze88s5fk/1337portalen.se/public_html/libraries/joomla/utilities/simplexml.php(302) : eval()'d code on line 1

Can I install this mod manually as my hosting had not enough memory

I don't think that you can get Kunena working reliably on on 16M of memory. Most of the pages should load well, but there may be some that do not. PHP uses huge amounts of memory and you cannot get away with it by optimizing code.

Similar problem here, but this is with kunenalatest. When I unzip the file, there does seem to be an xml file, but not one called "install.xml," though.

Not a showstopper, but I would like some help with this if possible.
