Question out of memory on conversion

I hope you all are well.
I was able to run a successful conversion on my server, however I noticed I had used the wrong phpbb database.
When I tried to remedy this I received this error:
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 26476544) (tried to allocate 367 bytes) in /home/truewar/public_html/iwed/phpbb3_to_fb.php on line 291
I went to my php.ini file, which was set at 64M. I changed it to 80 and still get the same error.
I realize this isn't a Kunena/FB specific issue, but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as to how to fix this.
Thank you!
ETA: I tried with the previous database and it worked again. Anyone have an idea as to how I can import my newer database?

Any other suggestions as far as a program? At this point, I am willing to pay to have this done as my members will want the forum back ASAP (I have currently disabled the phpbb forum).

I have Kunena > Community Builder > GroupJive > CB_GroupJive Plug-in for Kunena.
Everything installed right. Set up cat in backend. Catagories are being made for groups that are created. But as soon as I post and go back to the forum... BAM! I gett the error.
In simple terms can you explain how to fix this? Right now this set up only has 4 members while I test and get everything set up.
I am learning all this as I go. so if you can tell me what steps I need to take to correct this issue I would be most happy!
I read you posted this.
"Try to run your importer in the command line. They do not work very well with large databases (need some slicing and AJAX)."
But to be honest this makes NO sense to me. First thing that went through my head way... what do they mean "run your importer in command line" and slicer and ajax.
I also see you say it does not work with a small database. What size does the database need to be. Cause right now it's small but I hope in a month or two it won't be.
Thanks!
Jora

**EDIT**
Ok lucky me! I still get the error.
Here's the one I got this morning.
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 147 bytes) in /home/mydomain/public_html/sub-domain/components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.link.class.php on line 28
And these I got on Sunday.
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 39 bytes) in /home/mydomain/public_html/sub-domain/includes/sef.php on line 544
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/mydomain/public_html/sub-domain/includes/sef.php on line 540
The site this forum is sitting on is a sub-domain and once I get everything working 100% I will be moving setting it up on it's own addie! www.itshome.com :silly:
Thanks for any help in solving this issue. This is the last major issue that needs to be fixed before the site is ready to go live!
**EDIT AGAIN**
Ok I no longer believe it is really a Kunena problem.
the forums work fine as long as I have the main cat for the groupjive groups published but the min I unpublish that cat and then try to go to the groups forum i get the top error now. The plug in works great except for this error. It creates the the forum for the group under the main cat for groupjive. So I don't know now.
