Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

One of my site is using FB1.0.4 edition. Not the RC editions.

FireBoard 1.0.4 Stable [ Teakwood ] 23 December 2007

  • How to upgrade to K1.0.8 ?
  • Also, how to un-install FB after Kunena starts running ?
  • and How to redirect old FB URLs to new Kunena URL ?

You will need to run the converter for FB 1.0.4 to 1.0.5 to get your config data converted to new db changes. You can search the board here for the converter. Then, you can just uninstall FB, disable any FB module you have currently enabled, then install Kunena 1.0.8.

Upgrade went smoothly. Thanks for your kind help :)

Few more questions :P -

1. I can't set Board Time Offset to 10.5 !! Its either 10 or 11 :(
2. What are the new names of these module-positions : fb_msg_t, fb_msg_b, fb_msg_1, fb_msg_2, fb_bottom etc.

I believe those are for adds or whatnot so you can publish your adsense module in one of those positions or whatever other banner or add module you may use.
Not sure on the offset. I've never heard of being half an hour offset. I'm sure someone else may be able to help you with that. ;)
