Important Forbidden access (Flooding)

I am getting this using Fireboard. Well guess I'm going to have to upgrade because the new forum looks a lot cleaner. I'm going to evenually upgrade to i.5 as well but I just wanted to make this error about fireboard known.

Under 'Security' in your Fireboard or Kunena back office you will find a 'Flood Protection' feature.


"The amount of seconds a user has to wait between two consecutive post. Set to 0 (zero) to turn Flood Protection off. NOTE: Flood Protection can cause degradation of performance.. "

Does yours show a number in the box? Zero (0) is default.

There is another possibility and it may relate to your hosting. Your hoster may be running a 'Flood Protection' script on the server. I have managed to set off flood protection on sites of mine that do not have Fireboard or Kunena installed.

Well i did check that in the backend and it was blank and I changed it to 0 and it still is craping out. This doesn't happen between post but just navigating through fireboard. This isn't the first problem I've had with this component. Guess i need to updated to kunena. I like the way this looks anyway and hopefully it got rid of the bugs

If you can, wait for 1.0.8. If you're not already on FB 1.0.5, you'll have to run the converter to get there before going to Kunena but if you're on FB 1.0.5 already, nothing else necessary. Just install Kunena and uninstall FB.
