I just wanted to thank you for all your work. I converted to phpbb Kunene in less than an hour and I am really satisfied.

Now I do not see the time it reaches the next release that fixes a really serious lack ...

Congratulations to all

1. Do you mean you converted from phpbb TO kunena?

2. If so, from which version phpbb and to which version kunena?

3. Im sure there are alot of users who would like to know how you did it so if you wrote how and provide the script you would be helping the community alot.

cheers

still wish that i can write my forum signature through a jomsocial plugin and do it from my jomsocial profile :(

I converted to phpbb3 3.0.4 Kunene.

I installed FireBoard 1.0.5RC 2

Uploaded files converter on the server

Edited the config.php file with the necessary data

Run the script "mysite.com / folderconverter / phpbb_to_fb.php

Finally I installed and uninstalled FireBoard Kunene.

No conflict, no problem.

This tool is running properly except avatars and profile visits :)

Interesting. I tried to convert from phpbb3 using the same method, but had duplication of users that really screwed up the forums.

that look like the same script i posted over on

www.kunena.com/index.php?option=com_kune...=view&catid=4&id=513

odd about duplicate users, the script does checking if the user already exists in joomla database. Although i wonder if its case sentative, so User1 is different to user1

still good enough.. Passwords are not migrated, but thats easiler rectified by doing a lost password on the joomla login module.

Ops, I forgot one detail.

To avoid problems with the nickname and password I first imported all users in Joomla with Jfusion.

Then I performed the conversion.

No user twice, no problem Password :-)
