Several days after successfully upgraded from FB to Kunena....
I figured out every link has been broken because word changes... (fireboard to kunena).

I mean.. link such as,

www.midiforumkorea.com/index.php?option=com_ fireboard &Itemid=71&func=view&catid=16&id=10

There are many posts that contain the answer with link indicated.
Any way to solve this problem?

Regards.

What version of FireBoard did you upgrade from? My first thought is that you'd have to do a search and replace on the database level.

no, just time and a sitemap will help you on this... that or running SEF options in joomla,a olthough this will have same result now...

With a bit of time, robots will get the new links indexed in search engines

I don't understand. Could you explain how this is an SEF problem? No one has reported this problem until now and there have been many many upgrades from FB.

No, it's not a sef problem, I just say having used sef option in joomla would have helped him not suffering ;)

The problem, as far as I understand, is search engines like google have his links indexed as com_kunena, and now, as he has new com_kunena, links just report a 404...

If he had SEF enabled BEFORE, his links would have looked like site.com/forum.html&Itemid=71&func=view&catid=16&id=10, and that would work in both

if the problem is inside your forums, you could run a query to replace the text fireboard for kunena in all posts :)

There are more than 7000 posts in my forum....
And I can't even count how many posts have the problem....

I should've made SEF enabled :S
Let me cry for a while...

Thanks,
