Hi!

I really look forward to the 1.5 native release and in the meantime, I would like to prepare a little.

We translated our FireBoard forum into another language and also had the teamplate changed quite a bit.

Will the languagefiles and template files of Kunena still be able to be replaced by our existing FireBoard stuff ?

I don't think so. New translations are being offered up almost daily so I doubt if old FB translations are viable. Same with templates. With logic and design wound up so tightly, coupled with changes/fixes to code, I don't think templates for the most part would be usable either.

BUT...

I haven't tried out anything or tested. I'm only making an educated guess. I would set up a local server using XAMP WAMP or any one of these to test.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

yes and no, they may work but with undesired things...

Also, as most of the logic is still in templates, some of the changes and fixes we've made in kunena to improve it, are directly related to default_ex skin...

Your language file may need to be updated to include the new fields.
