Hello all,

i have not upgraded my kunena since 1.0.8 and i know the latest one is 1.0.10.

the steps in your docs says backup site, uninstall old ver, install new version from joomla installer. of course to test first in a dev site if you please.

is it still ok to upgrade from 1.0.8 to 1.0.10 without any problems?

any help is appreciated,

thanks

There are a few things that don't work 100% out-of-the-box with K 1.0.10 that you will have to fix. There's a problem with the search feature - this is the most important one to fix - and there are issues involved if you're using something other than the default or default_ex Kunena templates.

The two discussion topics that summarise the things you need to pay attention to are: Solutions and Tutorials - Support Kunena 1.0.10 and UNOFFICIAL List of solved K 1.0.10 problems . Otherwise K 1.0.10 works!

VReyes - It is like everywhere, some systems get problems. But not the most systems! Test here on kunena.com or test here , these sites work without any problem ( I believe so).

There is no difference in upgrading from 1.0.9 to 1.0.10 or 1.0.8 to 1.0.10 - don't worry. However= Before every change on system, make a backup (murphey's laws ;) ). You can go the same upgrade progress like 1.0.9 to 1.0.10. I guess, this is, what you wanted to be briefed about?
