Question Error after upgrade 1.0.9 to 1.0.10

i got error after installing k1.0.10

Creation or permission setting of the following directories failed:

/home/runer/public_html/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/avatars/gallery (you have to put avatars inside if you want to use it)
/home/runer/public_html/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/category_images
/home/runer/public_html/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/files
/home/runer/public_html/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images

a) You can copy the contents of _kunena.files.distribution under components/com_kunena to your Joomla root, under images/ folder.
b) If you already have the contents there, but Kunena installation was not able to make them writable, then please do it manually.

I have problem with my hosting about CHMOD 777, i have to set to this permission every time to install new component.

after that error message, i checked my file manager through cpanel and all of the files mentioned in error message above had been there. the CHMOD each folder is 755 and each file is 644.

so, is it correct or any steps that i have to do?
is it secure and normal to run it?

I don't know too much about file and directory permissions with Joomla. I use what's "standard", what my webhost set up for me in the first place. I only know what is written at docs.joomla.org/What_are_the_recommended...ctory_permissions%3F ... sorry, that's the extent of what I know and that's what you would have seen in the topic that looks similar to your problem :(

I also suspect that you would encounter the same error messages if you tried to re-install K 1.0.9, too ... so I don't think this is a glitch with K 1.0.10 specifically (but I could be wrong! :S )

This error message comes from the fact that Kunena does not use Joomla ftp mode (legacy component). You can copy the files by hand.

Not having right permissions only affects uploading attachments, images and avatars. Everything else should work just fine. Will fix this soon for 1.5..
