Question Can't view forum after installation

I'm sure there's a simple fix to this but I couldn't find it via search. Basically, I've installed Kunena on my Joomla 1.5.10 site, added a menu item with an alias of forum, but when I click that link I just get a 404.
See for yourself. The site is here:
ndoherty.com/3sob
The forum should be here:
ndoherty.com/3sob/forum
And I believe the direct link is as follows but it doesn't work either (blank page):
ndoherty.com/3sob/components/com_kunena/
I have SEF and mod_rewrite turned on, I'm not using Joomla Style and Show Announcement is set to Yes. Legacy is also turned on, and I've tried uninstalling Kunena, deleting the database tables and reinstalling again, all to no avail.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best regards,

Your Kunena forum seems to be all right and it can be accessed at ndoherty.com/3sob/index.php?option=com_kunena
Sometimes there is more to SEF than what you've written
... you're on the right track and I would persevere with SEF. However, if you're having problems with successfully creating a link to Kunena, why haven't you also had problems creating a link to other things? You may find the article Search engine optimization (SEO) helpful.I have SEF and mod_rewrite turned on.
In conclusion, if I were you, I would keep SEF on, delete the Kunena menu item that you've created and create a new menu item using Joomla's Menu Manager. Your problem is about how to use Joomla, not about Kunena.

SEF URLs that you are using work only with Apache server and if you have renamed the above file. If both are OK, please check that your site has:
AllowOverride All
in apache configuration. Otherwise .htaccess will not work.
