Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Hi, i've been wanting to use fireboard on a site of mine for sometime on 1.5.

I've set it up in legacy mode when making sites for other people and it seems ..okay in terms of performance, great in terms of administration, look, etc.

Anyways, i really wanna get this going but my concern is upgrading when kuena is officially ready to go 1.5 native.

My question is "Will there be an option to upgrade the legacy version to a native version?" I realize this may be a ways off perhaps, but i'd like to know if upgrading will be an relatively easy option or a hassle.

Hi,

Welcome to Kunena!

Yes all future upgrades will be seamless. We invested a lot of time into an automatic upgrade framework. There will be more database changes going from 1.0 to 1.1 then going to 1.5.

If any of these future upgrade do not work, it's a bug for us and we have to fix it.
