Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.
The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Welcome to the world of Kunena!
Luckily the upgrade in your case is very simple and straight forward.
1.) BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP - If you have not tried, might want to give JoomlaPack a try
2.) Uninstall FB 1.0.5RC1 - The uninstall will leave all posts in the database and all images and attachments in the file system
3.) Install Kunena 1.0.9 (latest stable, very soon to be 1.0.10 followed by 1.5.2rc in the next few weeks)
Kunena will automatically perform the upgrades necessary.
Common issues:
Make sure your php timeout is set to 120 sec or higher. Depending on the server, the install can take longer than the default 30 sec timeout on most hosts. If you get a white screen during the install - that is what happened.
Make sure you config has announcements turned on. There is a known bug in 1.0.9 that will create an error if it is tunred off. You don't need to use the announcement feature and users wont see it if you don't enter any. Just make sure it is enabled.
That should be it.
