Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Hi

I have installed Kunena package on my educational joomla website .
However I didnt find any documentation on the Kunena control panel / forum administration .

As a result i am not able to bring this forum on my site webpage .
I am a newbie and struggling a lot . Can anybdy pleasseeeee help ?

Hi there,

Sorry about that. I know we are currently lacking good documentation and basic examples.

The most important thing you have to create for Kunena (like for any other component you install) is a menu link. You need to go into the menu manager of your main menu and add a new menu entry, call it e.g. Forum and select component -> Kunena. Make sure it is public and published and you should see a barebones forum on your site.

After that you have to start creating a couple categories. Just create a few based on whatever structure you would like. Don't worry, they can easily be changed at a later point in time.

That should do the trick.
