Ok 1st excuse my noobiness here. I just want to ask a few questions before i attempt to upgrade my board.

I just built my site and integrated Fireboard, i assume its the latest fireboard version 1.0.5RC2, and the link to that is here: www.phillyrant.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=53 . I just came across this as i didnt know that Fireboard was all but dead and being replaced. I have the link to install Kunena 1.0.9 here: docs.kunena.com/index.php/Installation_Instructions but i dont notice if this is a way to upgrade my current forum or not? I am using the 1.5.10 RHUK Milkyway template. I also have to point out that i am running in Legacy Mode 1.0. So my questions are:

1. Do i have to delete my current fireboard and upload the new Kunena board?
2. Are there any bad bugs in the new Kunena that maybe i should hold off on and wait for them to be fixed?
3. Is this new Kunena as easy to install & integrate into my site as the fireboard?

Hello,

you can read this : docs.kunena.com/index.php/How_to_Install_or_Upgrade_Kunena

1°) You must uninstall fireboard and install kunena

2°) kunena 1.0.9 is a stable version, but there are few bugs or if haved seen bugs you can wait for Kunena 1.0.10

3°) This is the same thing that fireboard

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

So the Kunena 1.0.9 works in "Legacy" mode & is compatible with Joomla 1.5.x?

Also in uninstalling fireboard then do i lose all my forums & members? Will i have to start over again.

No information will be lost if you update from FB 1.0.5 to Kunena by uninstalling it. Kunena is heavily modified version of FireBoard and they are fully compatible with each other.
