Question How to override a part of a template

What is the recommended way to change only a part of a template. For example to change the user information (profile) display in topic view?
At this moment I am directly modifying the code in the Blue Eagle template, but that causes a problem when updating, since I have to make sure that I apply the changes again to the new template.
Is there an override mechanism like for other content ?

It depends on which files you want to overwrite.
CSS you can overwrite in the custom.less or css
Edit Less
PHP overrides works for files which are included in the folder „components/com_kunena/template/your-template/layouts“
