Kunena 7.1.0 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.1.0 [K 7.1.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x./6.2.x This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 / K7.0 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.1
Just a reminder: K6.4.16 receives only securities fixes until end of 2026, so it's advised for users to upgrade to K7.1.
It is important to note that the Kunena team does not have a standard, recommended or supported protocol for these ideas and that posting questions in this category may not receive advice from team members.
Question Script for migrating PHPBB 3.x to the Kunena 6 or 7
I'd now like to import it into a Joomla 5 website with Kunena 6.
Is that possible?
And does anyone have a good guide for this?

Wouter

Thanks for pointing me to that topic.
It's strange that I didn't receive an email notification of your reply.
That's why I didn't respond sooner, unfortunately.

It has been a while since I asked this question here on the forum, but I didn't quite manage to figure it out back then with the tips and advice in the referenced topic.
Is there anyone here who has recently performed a migration from phpBB to Kunena?
And did you create a manual or step-by-step plan for it that I could follow?
I hope that someone reading this has experience with such a migration and can help me with the right information.
Best regards,
Wouter

I asked Claude if he was capable of creating a script for me to migrate phpBB3 to Kunena.
That took a few days, but eventually I now have a working script with which I have been able to migrate two websites, and the forum is running perfectly with Kunena.
I am offering the information below and hope that others can benefit from it in this way as well.
The files are in Dutch and English and contain a script and a manual.
Best regards,
Wouter
