Kunena 6.2.6 released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2
It is important to note that the Kunena team does not have a standard, recommended or supported protocol for these ideas and that posting questions in this category may not receive advice from team members.
Idea phpBB 3 to Kunena 3 Migration Script
After sending you an attachment of your migrated forum through email, I realized that was you (username:lucky) who I was talking to in the MixERP forums. Here:
mixerp.org/erp/kunena/phpbb-to-kunena-mi...ena-3-migration.html
I understand that you do not feel good for not being able to solve the problem you have. I was trying to help. Finally, I sent you your "migrated Kunena forum database" to you. Even though your problem has been solved, you need to understand that you cannot claim "support". You were not very clear on stating what error you got.
Lastly, I was doing your job. I feed bad for my wasted hours. I am very thankful to you that you trusted me with your database. Good night.

With the fireboard method I used earlier on, everything was imported including the guest names and post views. The only problem is that, the user profiles get messed up after upgrading to Kunena 2.0+. It only works for Kunena 1.0 up to 1.7.
It appears to be a mapping issue but I don't know how to fix that. Although all the users are there, the IDs are messed up so posts link to wrong user profiles.

Sorry for the way i reacted. I don't mean to be ungrateful. After all, you did not charge me any fee. Many of the developers here wanted to charge me a fee before they help me out but you did not. I was just frustrated. I have been trying for almost a month with no luck so I put all my hopes in your script and I was quite disappointed when I started getting errors. That was why I needed a copy from you and not the script again. Once again, I'm very sorry about that and thanks very much for your time. Those were not wasted hours. At least you were able to improve the script a little bit for others. Thank you for sharing your script and thanks for your time.

It's alright. I do not work for money. So, I will not charge you any fee at all.
I think I can properly migrate your forum to Kunena on the MySQL part. I feel, I have solved the problem of guests names already.
Could you please explain, strictly related to my migration script, what are the missing things or bugs if there are any?
Thanks.

1. Guest name are imported. Now, there is no "Anonymous" user.
2. Added a fix which correctly imports phpBB-generated tags such as quote, code, img, and so on.
3. Added a fix which converts phpBB smilies to Kunena.
The changeset can be viewed on the following url:

If you encounter any errors, let me know.

Please thank you once again for your time. You are my hero . Everything works great now. The guest names and post views were all imported correctly. Maybe they should replace the phpbb3 in the kunena importer with your script. I have tried almost all the methods out there including the kunena importer and none of them works like your script.
To the beginners out there who are trying to convert their forums to kunena, this is the surest way. I have spent almost a month on this and I have tried almost all the methods out there and none works like Binod's script. Even the paid methods out there lack alot when it comes to importing user profiles (including guest names) and posts. The amazing part of it all is that, this script is 100% free! There is even a support forum here: mixerp.org/erp/kunena/index.html

In running the script, I get the following Error code:
Error
SQL query:
DELIMITER $$ CREATE FUNCTION azlro.get_alias(
str VARCHAR( 256 )
) RETURNS VARCHAR( 256 ) DETERMINISTIC BEGIN DECLARE alias VARCHAR( 256 ) ;
SET alias = REPLACE( REPLACE( LCASE( REPLACE( CONVERT( TRIM( str ) USING ASCII ) , '?', '' ) ) , ' ', '-' ) , '&', 'and' ) ;
RETURN alias;
END ;
$$

#1419 - You do not have the SUPER privilege and binary logging is enabled (you *might* want to use the less safe log_bin_trust_function_creators variable)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest you to:
1. download the dump of your phpBB3 database and restore that on your workstation.
2. Create a new Joomla installation or restore your existing joomla installation locally. Also, you will have to have the Kunena component installed first.
3. Downalod Toad for MySQL freeware.
4. Connect to your database server from Toad.
5. Run the script.
6. Restore your phpBB3 Kunena migrated forum to your actual webserver.
If you encounter any trouble during this, please let me know if I can help.
Good day.

However, when I try to import the Kunena tables to my 'real' web server's database, I get a similar error...
Access denied; you need (at least one of) the SUPER privilege(s) for this operation
