Kunena 6.2.6 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

This category is for the module developed, endorsed, maintained and supported by the Kunena project team. The topics in this category only relate to the plugin developed for K 3.0 and later versions.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

how to configure the Latest module to show the latest topics but not the reply was created by estebanother
Hello everybody. I am looking for a way to configure the "Latest" module so that it only shows the latest topic but not the users reply to the topic, since so far I have not been able to do it (not at least with the general configurations within the module).

So in other words I need the module to show only the first message made by the creator of the topic but not every latest answer that topic recieve.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but it seems tha the module just can´t do it.  Can someone help me?

You mean, only when a new topic has been created, and nothing more after that? I'm sorry, but that's not possible.

Yes, just like that. What I want is to use Kunena to create a current news section created by the community, in this way I have put the module on the main page. For the section to work properly it needs to show only the first message and not it interactions.

If not possible, is there some kind of paid support to build something similar using the module?

The reason why I want to use Kunena and not Joomla articles is because Kunena is friendlier by inviting the community to write content and it allows easier interaction between users. There are similar sites in my country that use forum platforms for the community to create content, all very popular.

I think, it could be a solution for you:
  • Module Output = Recent Topics
  • Post Text = Hide
  • URL link = First topic/post
With this setting it shows only the topic title (is not displayed multiple time if answered in the forum), and with click on the topic title, it always redirects to the first message of this forum topic.
