I am trying to set up a RSS feed from our Kunena forum to display on another site. I have copied the RSS url (from the RSS icon) at the bottom of the Kunena page, but it returns no results - even though I have checked settings and tried a variety of different settings.

Is there another step required to get a feed?

This is the URL that is created: xxxx/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topics&format=feed&layout=posts&Itemid=0

thanks,
Geoff

Can anyone advise of the settings required to create an RSS feed from a Kunena 4 forum?

I am unable to get it working. I have entered the RSS url into a feed validator ( feedvalidator.org/ ) and it returns it is Invalid.....

e.g.

Sorry

This feed does not validate.

line 1, column 1: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:1: XML or text declaration not at start of entity [help]

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
^
In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation.

Feeds should not be served with the "text/html" media type [help]

thanks,
Geoff

Appears to be a WhiteSpace at start of RSS XML. How/where can I delete this white space?

thanks,
Geoff

Hello,

Try to disable all your plugins and modules to check if it works then re-enable them one by one to check which one cause the issue

Is there a place to lodge a support ticket for help with this where I can provide login info, etc?

I am unable to get the RSS Feed working in Kunena 4.0, and need assistance. e.g. Clicking on the RSS Icon at the bottom of a page with 10 items (Kunena &cat=3) returns a result with 1 item, and from a different category!

This is the url for the Kunena page:
xxx /index.php?option=com_kunena&view=category&catid=3&Itemid=310

what should the form of the RSS icon link from this page be? It is currently returning:

xxx /index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topics&format=feed&layout=posts&Itemid=0

Thanks,
Geoff

I have seen these errors before. Sometimes the errors are caused by another Joomla extension .

I have rebuilt the site from the ground up in order to get the RSS feeds working which are critical for us.

All good initially, but when user (super admin) is logged in to the front end, the RSS feed fails.

This appears to be a bug.
